2020 Breakout Sessions


1. Rebekah Marquez - "Bee Alert"
"Be Alert; stand firm in the faith." I Cor. 16:13  "Be Alert, your adversary the Devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for anyone he can devour. Resist him and be firm in the faith." I Peter 5:8-9 Rebekah is on staff with Straight Street Roanoke Valley ministry to Teens, working with the Street Ransom division as Marketing and Communications Director. She is currently teaching youth how to protect themselves against exploitation through information, critical thinking, and skill development.sharing the facts and information about sex trafficking to Roanoke area students through the school system. Rebekah graduated from James Madison University and has a strong passion to share her love for Christ and faith in God.
2.  Katie Fagan - "Bee Kind, Compassionate and Forgiving"
"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another just as God also forgave you in Christ." Ephesians 4:32. Katie has shared with many young ladies why they're worth "waiting" for through the Blue Ridge Women's Center. Forgiveness can be a hard concept to fully grasp, but because Katie openly shares how God is walking her through a process of forgiveness, all our relationships can also benefit by applying what she has learned. Katie has a strong desire to communicate how following Jesus makes a difference in her life and she encourages others to embrace biblical principles. Katie is currently enjoying her season as a stay-at-home mom.
3. Genita Trusclair and Angie Buckner  – "Bee Wise"
"Be Wise" Proverbs 1:5 A wise person will listen and increase her learning. Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and discipline. Genita majored in Criminal Justice and has been involved in ministry over 16 years, currently with Positive Impact Ministries. Angie has a Doctorate in Clinical Christian Psychology and is the owner of Divine Precepts and President of Generation- X- Celling Inc. They have a strong passion for young people and will be using visual aids and skits to encourage Teens to rise and achieve their God-directed goals. Genita and Angie enjoy spending time with their families and continuing to encourage others in every area of their lives. 
4.  Jacqueline Robbins - "Bee Confident"
Psalm 118:6-9 "The Lord is for me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? The Lord is my helper. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in nobles." Romans 8:35-39. "Who can separate us from the love of God? We are more than victorious." Jacqueline is a personal trainer and is studying physical therapy through Carillion Hospital. She has a passion to see young women recognize their worth in Christ. Jacqueline plans to speak about Fitness and Health and how we can be confident because of who Christ is.
5.  Aimee Dwyer Whitley – “Bee imitators of God""
​
 "Be imitators of God." Ephesians 5:1-2. Aimee is a recent graduate of Liberty University, where, after multiple trips abroad, she developed a love for people of all nations, especially those in India. On this side of the world, she has been behind the scenes in the fashion industry in the states, and has some lies to expose and truths to tell. She has a passion for Fashion and knowing true beauty. Aimee is married to her best friend, David, and resides in Asheville, North Carolina.
6. Kayla Rohr - (ICCD) International Christian Centers for the Deaf - "Bee Purposeful"
"Be zealous." Psalm 119:2 "Happy are those who keep his decrees and seek Him with all their heart. Be fervent in Spirit; serve the Lord. Romans 12:11. Kayla shares that her passion for sign language began in middle school; from that moment on she was fascinated with the Deaf culture and language. She graduated from the National technical Institute for the Deaf at RIT in 2009. Kayla believes that God is calling her to use her gifts and talents to serve him and fulfill the Great Commission. She is currently serving full time in the ICCD Home Office as the Bahamas Coordinator, sign language interpreter, and office support staff.
7. Lena Wright - "Bee silent before the Lord"
"Be silent before the Lord and wait expectantly for Him, do not be agitated. Refrain from anger and give up rage." Psalms 37:7-9 Proverbs 16:32 "Patience is better than power" Lena is a very creative and energetic lady who enjoys working with the Teens at her church. She often shares her own story of her adoption and struggling with following the Lord in her teen years. She is happily married and has a young son who keeps her on her toes. Lena also owns a Party Planning Service and enjoys using her gift of hospitality.
